Carbondale's Native Son Eclipsed!

Earlier this month, FIASCo. Presents successfully maneuvered a local media revolution that critics had deemed impossible. Through the efforts of months of patient yet calculated planning, the company managed to eclipse twenty six-year-old Carbondale Mayor, Justin Taylor, from the front page of the Carbondale News.

Dr. Herbatioius Von Zimmerman, Associate Professor of Media Pop Culture Studies and Effects at Luzerne County Community College’s nontraditional student weekender program in Carbondale, had this to say about the momentous event, in a snide tone that at first seemed partially British but soon lent itself to Old Forgian. “Ever since Mayor Justin Taylor was voted into office, his face and name has graced every front page of the city’s newspaper, a gratuitous reign of power which places second in status to only Pink Floyd’s Dark Side Of The Moon album, who’s lengthy run on the billboard charts may not be broken for centuries.

It was a bold move on the part of author Jeff Chrusch. He could have gotten a speeding ticket in the city of Carbondale, or purposely ran a red light, but he must have for seen that such actions could only insure him a space on page 3, or at best page 2, if his conduct had been disorderly. Instead he went ahead and wrote an entire book, insuring the eclipse as total domination. I firmly believe that in years to come, Journalism and Media Pop Culture Studies and Effects scholars will speak of this event in the same breath as Nirvana’s 1991 surprising overtaking of Michael Jackson’s position of billboard chart-topper and pop icon status.

If Chrusch is as shrewd as I suspect his is, he’s probably experimenting with lethal opiates and firearms to ensure the book’s everlasting integrity.”
